My son has come closer to home for his last teaching placement on his PGCE, a car full of clothes, computer, TV and the associated peripherals collected through independent living that require storage in the loft when they get back home. I know this because we now have three sets of saucepans, crockery and cutlery in our loft as each one of our children have dumped these belongings before venturing off to far flung corners of the globe. No doubt they have since purchased more!
As they get older they do become more useful, Matthew has fixed the wireless connection at home and also introduced me to iGoogle. When he first described it to me I thought it was a website that I had used before where you can change the Google wording to say what you want "Googlemyway" which in itself is pretty good fun and certainly impressed the children in my class, but that was a couple of years ago.
iGoogle is altogether more useful, I have Google set up as my home page and frequently find myself searching for the same sorts of things. iGoogle allows you to personalise the Google page with things like news feeds, the weather forecast etc. It even lets you change the background colour scheme.

I know that it is just another gimmick but I do use Google often and this will just make it a little easier.
