Over the last two weeks I have had a new toy to play with, the Asus Eee PC. The unit was loaned to me for evaluation purposes and in that time I have waved it under the noses of technicians, teachers, senior managers and pupils.

The EeePC is a very small laptop and I mean VERY small. The laptop measures just 22 ½ cm wide and 16 ½ cm deep and 3 ½ cm at its thickest point, about the same size as a couple of A5 exercise books on top of each other! It weighs just 0.92kg and the unit I borrowed was a slick black and silver design although they are also produced in a variety of colours.

But the smallest thing about the Eee PC is its price. At less than £200 it is a very cheap fully functioning laptop.
